I know some of you customizers will know, I have a 62 Valiant with the small bearings (7 1/4 rear 3.23 gear) etc..., they all work, my question is where can I find a 63- up 7 1/4 rear that still has 3xx gears(so when my bearings go I'll be ready), all the ones I run across are 2.76 & my stock 170 needs all the help it can get, I'm running 205/70/14's & would really like to keep that size tire as opposed to running garden tractor tires. Any help/info would be appreciated... I live in Kansas so I'm the same distance to everybody.... thanks, Budget is important just like most of the sixers keep it running on minimal $$.,

Just last month I "donated" a 73' 7.25 with 3.23 gears to Massey & Sons Auto Salvage here in Topeka, KS (785-232-5708). I just now noticed your post so they may not still have it but you or I could check.

Look for Slant cars with a manual trans, especially a 3 speed. Many of them were 3.23 gears.
