Greetings fellow /6ers,

Just wondering what the fuel prices are in various areas of the contry. Here in the Tri-Cities (SE Washington state) regular 89 0ctane is ~$2.20, mid-level is ~$2.30, and premium is ~$2.40; and diesel is about $2.28/gallon. What is it in your area? Thanx. RMDV.

Paid 2.28 a gal for 87 octane at the station that is usually the cheapest
in my area( San Diego, CA).
Looks like it will only go up from there

Put $15 in the 1983 Imperial yesterday. It burns premium (91 octane) which here in Vancouver is $1.099 a litre.

Or US$3.08 a US gallon.

It takes about 20 minutes to get to work by bus which costs $2.00 (CDN), or US $1.45.

Expect it to go up.
It's all supply and demand, not price gouging.
I stopped at a station Saturday that was out of gas, and it wasn't their first time. The supply is growing shorter so the price is going to have to go higher to force people to conserve.
I'd rather pay more and be able to get gas, than have cheap gas but none available.

Cecil

I paid $2.39 per gallon on Saturday with Mobile 89 octane here in the South Bay or apx. $31.07 for a fill up. My Government issued staff car (we have to cover the gas) set me back an additional $22.00 and change, so lets do the math, $55.00 for two weeks worth of driving.

-D.Idiot

Should call up MNOP fueling and see what 100 octane costs per gallon in the 55 gal drum....woof...

ITs TOO FU@#!NG HIGH!!! DON"T TELL ME THEY AINT GOUGING!@!@!ALL OPEC HAS TO DO IS TO GIVE THE OK TO PRODUCE MORE, THEY ARE ALL SITTING THERE LAUGHING AT US, AND GETTING RICHER! ALL WHILE THEY RUN THE REST OF US CLOSER TO THE POORHOUSE! Around me in the Kankakee IL area it is right at $2 a gallon for "cheap", and each step up is $.10/gal more. I put $10 in the Dip Saturday and another $15 in this afternoon. Go up from Will County and beyond, and it is like $2.15-2.20 and worse FOR THE "CHEAP" STUFF! I have been looking for a replacement job lately, and I have 2 that want to hire me like, tomorrow, but they are 40 miles away, now I drive 7 each way. I had to turn em down because I cant afford to drive 80 a day, 6 days a week. And, NO, I AM NOT BUYING A WRONG WHEEL DRIVE IMPORT!

In Northern VA/D.C., it's about $1.96/gal for standard, 2.15 for high-test. If I'm not carrying anything heavy, I use my motorcycle as much as I can. It gets over 50mpg so it makes a big difference.

Just paid $1.85/g for 87 octane here on the coast of North Carolina. It's $.10 every upgrade. However, some stations are charging $1.95 for their cheap stuff. Watched the news last night, and they were saying that people are beginning to steal gas to show their frustrations. I just ante up and pay the piper, since I know I need to drive.

When this post started it was $1.94 for the el cheapo gas. Now it is $2.09. Did everyone hear about the supposed "don't buy gas the 19th" deal? Supposedly nobody is supposed to buy gas tomorrow in hopes it will do something. I've heard that one before....

Time to buy a moped.

Wait a minute.... moped...mopar..... slant six powered moped??????

I need a nap and a lottery tickeet - papa needs a full tank to get to work.

Prices are aroun $2.20ish in Spokane.

Now, don't get angry at me personally, get angry at the plan...

I actually wish for everyday people that the price would be higher so that we drive less. The high prices have made me drive less, which though I love driving is a good thing. I think people with business liscenses though should be exempt from the higher prices(my dad runs a business where he runs a lot of gas: lawnmowers, truck, weedwackers, etc, and the price is hitting him hard). My general opinion is that everyone drives too much and we ought to be paying what they pay in Europe. Doesn't mean we couldn't have fun yelling about it though. Just think, currnent usage we'll be out of oil in something like sixty years, seems like Saudia Arabia could supply us for about ten years. As I said, don't get angry at me, get angry at the plan.
