GOOD GUY ALERT!!
Rick Allision and Company at A&A Transmission do it again!

I had Some Trouble after installing the Aluminum Drums and Rollers into ruster transmission.

At First I thought it was a shifter / Cable adjustment, after 2 TNT's and Lots of cable adjusting, Found out that wasnt it.

Still being new to Automatics etc. I had to figure out how to solve the problem.

It came down to this: Car ran in manual 1 and manual 2 but when shifting to manual 3/"D" then in would waffle between 2 and 3 which a full manual valvebody is not supposed to do :-(

So I emailed Rick a year after the sale of said parts.

Again he shows compassion and caring for you and your situation and projects. He thoughtfully replied and ran through some possible scenarios in his response.

So I decided to pull pan and valvebody. I found that there was trash in some of the governor circuits in the valvebody. No problems with A&A's parts or my install other than I never elected to clean the valvebody when I had it out for the rebuild.

SO... If you need A 727-904-500-518-999 Parts or service I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A&A Transmission.. If you are in / near the Indy area you can see their shop!

Greg

I'm just a few years behind on this thread but I just ordered a kit for my valiant the other day along with a transgo shift kit and high rpm governor. I'm also going to rebuild a 727 out of my friends 69 roadrunner, again with a & a parts. They're very popular here in the Midwest with the Mopar racers. I've never heard a bad thing about them. I'm hoping to get my transmission to shift itself when in drive at wide open throttle at 5500 rpm. I've talked to them before about this and they say it should be no problem. They'll swap governors and springs until I get there.

I tried to talk to them at the ICH show, couldn't get closer than 4 deep... I called Rick a couple days later, he got me what I was wanting to ask about at the show, via the big brown truck... within the past few days.
