I didn't realize that this was so close to gatlinburg/ knoxville area... have any of you ridden / driven on it?

Seems like a cool side trip for the next time the banquet is in the pigeon forge / sevierville area.....!

I have numerous times, mostly on motorcycles. It requires concentration and the key is , stay in your lane. I drove it once in an S10 Blazer, not so fun..lol.

I am guessing it's a 2 lane with Double solid yellow?

In your opinion is better to drive north or south... or are they both super fantastic?

Sheesh! its a 5 hour drive for ya Lou.

It's tempting even to just make a weekend trip for me when weekend trips are a legal thing again someday.

Yup, two lane, double yellow. Me and my buds usually start from the crossroads, where the closing scenes of Two Lane Blacktop were filmed, and ride up to the overlook at the top, then return. By the time you get to the overlook you will be ready for a break, it's intense. Most of it is fairly low speed and technical, and in a car there will be lots of wheel work. Lots! If I had to pick, I'd prefer going South to North. Whichever way you go, you will not be disappointed and once will not be enough.

I haven't driven it, but I was close to it once and the warning signs are entertaining

The Ginetta hasn’t been re-assembled yet, but my ‘72 V8 Dart is set up to handle. It’s been sitting way more than it should. It needs to be driven.

Sounds good. I don't think I have seen that one.

Cars are like people. They benefit from exercise.

That one is very close to Mark and Regina's old house. They run that all the time. Mark has bugged me about this for a while. Maybe I'll take a run down there tomorrow!!?

If you make it over to the Dragon, the Cherohola Skyway is not far from there and it's a nice ride/drive with more high speed sweepers. Look out for Leo.
The Tail of the Dragon is a tarmac roller coaster ride.
