I took a few more parts over to Adam's last night. Engine/trans combo, fire suppression system, etc...

We dropped the engine/trans in. It even has a little bling on it. I have a matching chrome air cleaner for that little 1 barrell too.

Nice! That's the same battleship gray Bob used on our Dart's engine compartment.

I hated the spray bomb black that was in there. I wanted to lighten things up a bit for better visibility on those late nights at the track.

Rustoleum brush on color choices at Rural King were somehwat limited, so I just mixed flat white and flat black. The rear seat area is much lighter... cuz it was a long day... and I got lazy mixing up the second batch... You'll see what I mean at Sebring...

I have no idea how well this gray will match the other two shades of gray (  )... I painted this last night at my garage. The car is at Adam's. I'll put our Toad Mascot on it once the paint dries. I'm gonna put it on the left side, kinda turned about 30*...

While Adam worked his VooDoo Art on the scary wiring stuff I spent more time than I should have rummaging through fuel line stuff to cobble together what we needed to run the fuel line and rollover tube.

It would have made more sense just buying a couple new fittings rather than spending an inordinate amount of time sorting through and stealing pieces and parts from other projects... A little glimpse into why it always takes Rob so long to get anything done...

And,... in good "Two Step" fashion,... I took parts off instead of putting them on...

There must be something wrong with my monitor. I swear that looks like a CHROME valve cover. That can't be right.......

Do you think we should swap it for something more Lemony...? It was just on there when I bought the engine/trans several years ago. It's just been sitting there for probably 8-9 years... Chrome does make it look a little cheaty I suppose... Kinda like the intake & headers I'm about to put on it...

I think we need to paint/stick a toad or 3 onto the 62 and paint "Toadracer" on the side. Looking forward to getting involved in that.

Here is the working sketch of "ToadRacer". Hopefully the cartoonist will have it finished up in time for Sebring...
