There comes a point where too small of an engine is thirstter than a bigger one.

I have been after a 170 for quite some time. I have tons of 225s and a couple 198s. I want a couple 170s…

If I wanted to go that slow again I'd put a Chevy motor in my car.

I had a 68 Valiant with a 170....with an OD 4 speed I put in it, I could hit 30MPG sometimes, 29 MPG always.

My mother had a 63 Valiant with a 170....it ran so dead smooth you couldn't tell it was running other than seeing the fan spinning.

Look at the piston speed of a 170....I know a 225 will last forever, but a 170 will last 2 forevers

My 64 Valiant with a 170/3 speed/ 3.23 rear gets upper 20's mpg on the highway. But the engine was built like a "race" motor, but for economy.

Having space - good space - to keep stuff is one of life's greatest challenges.

If I could have run my life the way I wanted, as an 18 year old I would have bought or built a warehouse with lots of square footage. I would have accumulated enough parts and cars by now that I could retire and live my life messing around with cars, occasionally selling off parts or cars to keep me afloat. Jennifer* would keep track of everything, as I detest record keeping, and I would find myself delighted every day by her love of cleaning greasy parts and sweeping floors.

*Since I'm re-living my life anyway, I might as well toss in a decades long polyamorous** relationship with Jennifer Aniston

**Polyamorous for me, not her. She only needs me. I need Mila Kunis and Blake Lively and Jennifer Connelly and the girl in the Taco Bell commercial and...
