So I have a couple extra doors for my Volare at my storage space. Actually, one is the original drivers door and the other is off another Volare.

Yikes, these doors are heavy! Ok, I'm 61 years old, way past 18, but still.

I'm thinking of reducing weight in them as a future project.

Or another option, I saw a pickup once where the owner had removed the doors entirely and had installed a welded bar configuration which opened like a door.

Something to think about anyway.

 at least they are not bbody 2 door loaded

I have a 96 Dakota. About the 5th or 6th 87-96 Dakota I have owned over the years.
I replaced the doors on this one with some rust free ones I found from an 87. The 87 doors were much lighter to handle.
The 96 doors had a steel stiffener/bolster In them that the 87 didn't. The original 96 door frame busted out around the bottom hinge. They didn't beef the hinges when they made them more "crash resistant". They should have.

And Wes.... What's the story on the 67 charger?

Right now the Charger is just sitting in storage, it needs a whole new engine.

Everything oh the F body is heavy except for possibly the plastic interior bits.

Lots more side and Front / Rear Crash protection / absorption in usually all steel bits makes for a heavy assembly, compared to a 1st / 2nd gen A Body of 15 years previous they are not svelte.
