Hi Gang,

Slowly but surely getting my 66 Dart into shape. Thanks for all of your help so far.

The latest issues concerns my backup lamp switch. I can put the tranny in reverse and nothing happens. If I very gently push the shifter forward (while still in reverse), they work. My question is whether I need to be focusig on the area in the console or under the car? What might I be looking for?

Thanks.

Tom

Sounds like your shifter linkage needs adjustment.

How might I go about adjusting my shifter linkage?

The backup light switch may be on the steering column as on the '65. If so, you can loosen the screws holding it on and move it until the lights come on when in reverse.

Shifter is in the console between the seats. The shop manual looks like the adjustment requires getting under the car. I'll do my best to follow the instructions to adjust the linkage.

Thanks all.

Tom
