Pouring some ATF in the cylinders and gentle tapping helps a lot.

I wouldn't try it with the starter. Pull the plugs out, and remove the timing chain or pull the rocker shaft so the load of the valvesprings aren't on the engine. Then take a big long breaker bar and put it on the bolt in the center of the vibration dampner (install a bolt if one didn't come there, they did on most later slants). Give it a couple hefty jerks to see what will happen.

Get the crank turning first then worry about the valvetrain.

I just hope one of your rings won't shatter when it breaks loose. I'd hate to have a ring fragment destroy the bore completely.

Sidenote: leave it in neutral and pull a battery cable as a safety item.

Kroil?
Once you use it you will laugh so hard your sides hurt at the notion of ever using Liquid Wrench or any other silly kid stuff ever again.

The advice not to try cranking it with the starter is a good one. With the starter's 45:1 overall mechanical advantage over the engine, you can bend rods.

Love Kroil. Only has one problem. Have to buy direct from the manufaturer, with a minimum quantity.

Went the transmission fluid route on our "frozen" slant. Pulled the plugs and poured a little in each cylinder. Let sit all day. Pulled the starter and got on the flywheel (torque converter) with a large screwdriver (I know, might break a tooth, but didn't have a crank bolt or know that I could install one).

Once you break it loose and determine that it will turn freely several times, reconnect the battery and starter. Hit the starter a couple of times to "spit" the extra ATF out the open plug holes. Swab the plug tubes out with a rag, reinstall the plugs and give her a go. You might want to drain the fuel system and use fresh gas, if it has been sitting for a long time. Ours fired right off with the old gas after only a couple pumps of the accelerator pedal. It smoked like a freight train while it burned off the remaining ATF. My son and I were just happy to see it run, after buying the car with a "seized" engine. :D

I used Marvel Mystery Oil instead of ATF which worked, but
actually it looks alot like ATF, even tho I don't know what's in it.
