Okay, So all 4 torque converter bolts are in finger tight. Once I got it lined up correctly, all 4 bolts went in easily. So is it now okay for me to tighten the Bolts down with a wrench? |

Yes and I always put lock tight on mine. Especially if they are the small bolts. They do come loose!

Okay, I removed the bolts and reinstalled them with loctite, per your suggestion, then I tightened them all the way. Then I reinstalled the thin metal cover on the trans, and then I bolted the engine to trans brace, or bracket. Babysteps onward…! |

Just take some spray paint or a paint marker the next time it gets removed and mark one bolt and hole so you know how it lines up! I usually forget that step myself. Or I wash the paint marks off when cleaning everything up!

Okay, so with the original slant six I was using a Weber carb and Lokar kick down cable. The replacement slant six came with a good Carter bbd. I would like to go back to using the original kickdown rod setup. Where can I see some pictures of the kickdown installed on a slant six with a Carter bbd? Thanks! |

I found a couple of kIckdown rods in my parts stash, however, they are not complete. They have the main rod, the long one, but the part that hooks up to the carb is missing. |

I finished installing the radiator today. The bottom rad hose and alternator belt are pretty close, I'm wondering if I misaligned the alternator when I reinstalled it...? Also, the bracket that holds the throttle cable and kick down cable and mounts to the side of the intake and or exhaust manifold: I'm gonna check around to see if I stashed it somewhere, but if I can't find it, what is a practical alternative? Thanks! |

Yup that belt and the lower hose do run close.... Had that on my truck too. |
