Hey newwine, Welcome to the Forum!! Sorry to say that there hasn't been much (any) progress on the Challenger in many months. ![]() I wanted to air up the tires and take it to the local dragstrip the first weekend of March for their annual chassis certification day to see what all would need to be fixed to get it to certify, but I don't see it happening... The car is a tube chassis set up with ladder bars. Slant 6 with a 904 leading back to an aluminum carrier 8 3/4. |

Come on Rob! You can do it! Make sure to have one running/racing car ready to go. Then slowly work on the challenger little by little. Keep at it and you will be racing before you know it! Rick |

I did go over to the garage today... The overwhelming clutter and plethora of things needed to be done thrawted my efforts and took what little motivation I had. ![]() I went out back, cut down a tree limb, raked up some leaves and burned stuff. ![]() Mischa the shop dog had a good day though. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I find that cleaning up gets me in the mood to wrench. Once I'm done with one project, I rearrange and clean up to start the next big one. Beautiful weekend for wrenchin'... got me out there for quite a while... Lou |

Me too. That was my intent for Sunday. I was going to clean up and accomplish something...Lou However, I have crammed so much junk in that little two car garage over the last few months (Georgia house materials clutter and another darned Duster basket case ![]() ![]() Cleaning the clutter was just going to be moving it from one spot to another that was STILL in the way! ![]() I need to have a yard sale... Or better yet a garage sale (where you sell the garage and everything in it! ![]() I'm hoping to hear this week if I have to move again this summer or if we get to stay for Chase's graduation. That will determine a lot on my "car way ahead". |

Rob old buddy. You need to go at the cars like your at work. One thing at a time, get something done. One day you will be as old as me and look back and say, Damn! So count your blessings, kick some stuff and get with it. Don't make me ride up there and snatch a knot in your as......! No man looking back after putting his hand to the plow is worthy. Your brother in Christ. |

Thanks Gentlemen (and 'Zilla ![]() I didn't buy a truck, but I am picking up a 16' car trailer today. ![]() (Is "my" truck running yet? ![]() Doing some general clean up at the garage this weekend helped with the "motorvation" thing. ![]() Angie gave me the "go ahead" to make plans to attend most of the East Coast races this year. ![]() ![]() (Even the best laid plans only survive until "initial contact"... I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. ![]() |

"Your" truck is running. Changed fuel pump and carb yesterday. Got it running off of a gas can, set timing, runs decent. I put 10 gallons of fresh fuel in it last week, and now have to drain the tank completely. Whatever was in the tank before will not burn at all, even with the new gas in it. ![]() I did notice yesterday that the factory chronometer is working. ![]() |
