It went from high 80's yesterday to 50's today.
Go figure.

I am kinda at a crossroad with the Colt.
I think most of yall know we are moving to AZ next year to be with my new (only) grandson.
So what to do with the Colt.
There are only 2 tracks out there in Phoenix area, Firebird, close, and Tucson, 2 hours or so.
Do I sell the Colt or drag it out there.
Not sure what I am going to do.

Anyway, I have been thinking about going faster.
I have the 200 cut head that will take the street engine from 10.5 to 1 closer to 11.5 to 1. More Horsepower.
I have a set of 1.65 rockers, more cam.
I am moving the Rack and Pinion steering mount bar forward too allow race damper installation. (Help the crank).
Engine controller with crank trigger to help the ignition be more stable.
New front lower control arms to give me a couple inches of front travel.
And a couple other "speed secrets" to get me in the high 11's.

So we will see how much of that I can do or pay for before the move.

Stan if you are going to get a place with a garage I would likely hang on to it for a while. You have put a lot of effort into getting it where it is. Plus it is a actual piece of drag racing history, so It probably won't go down in value if you decide to sell it down the road. It is a really nice car! Plus I want to see it running a sub 11.50 time!

PS. Don't think you are alone. All us old timers begin to think about what to do with our toys when we get older. Especially since our :D : racing series is kapootsky! :D :D

Put a Holley and an automatic in it.

The problem with a dedicated race car is you also need all the support equipment, and that also takes up money and space.

If you sell it, you're probably better off to sell it as a roller.

My turd is just sitting in my shop where I left it when we got back from CC. I haven't even had the gumption to contact the buyer, but he has not contacted me either. I wanted to get it out 1 more time this year, but probably won't since I can't get in and out of it without ripping my incision......
