We are doing the dinner/supper at the track on Sunday. Wife made chicken barbeque, (like pulled pork) hot dogs, macaroni salad, watergate salad, brownies, cookies, buffalo wing dip with tortilla chips, chips, deviled eggs & more.

I told her we had too much to eat, and she told me to worry about the race and let her worry about the food. I did!!

Forgot to mention. For any new racers at Mason Dixon. You must where long pants, no shorts. You must where a shirt with sleeves. Tee shirts are fine. And no open toe shoes or sandals.

Thanks for the update Greg. I will do a full one later. Probably Monday evening. Had 17 cars like Greg said and Ryan's Dart had the flywheel bolts come out during Test & tune and no one drove it.

Beautiful weather. and should be nice tomorrow.

Thanks to Brian Mimken for helping me with the last minute ladder!! Track wanted to star our races before the time listed on their web site and it got quite hectic for a while.

Congrats to Phil and Charlie! This was Phil's first win I believe.

Great going so far, and some fast times laid down in decent air. Brian Mimken debuted his cherry Duster, and is working the bugs out of the tuneup (1st time on track).

We had a nice dinner at PIZZA HUT this eve with 12 in attendance there.

It was a beautiful day, and it was nice to see all the slants in action. The fastest ones sure make you proud. The slow ones are cool too. It takes a real sense of personal self confidence to drive a slow slant. I must say the announcer was especially complementary of the Mopars, but most particularly of the slants. He built them up in his announcements to be the very special power plants we know them to be. There was not even a hint of degrading or derisiveness in his voice or comments.

Congrats Phil. Brian's Duster is quite a masterpiece. I am certain he will get the tuning worked out, and be running fast times soon. He cut 2.5 seconds off his time from the first to the last run. Not the only really nice car there mind you, but maybe the newest. Ricks blue Valiant is quite excellent as well. That is the first time I had seen that as it is coming together again.

Yes, I know your all waiting to hear. :D
Another beautiful day here at Mason Dixon! We had 16 cars in the pits but Greg Ondayo had alternator issues and didn't make any passes. So our race had 15 cars. Still a nice turnout.

Rookie Frank Funk, who also went 3 rounds in our race yesterday, took home all the marbles today!! And he had to beat Will Burns and his 11 second Barracuda to do it. This was Franks first time drag racing and I'd say he caught on pretty fast. Congrats to Frank and Will. To earn 70 points in a weekend will certainly put him in the running for Rookie of the year.

What car was he racing you ask? It was a Bruner built, Madsen modified, Covalt purchased Slantkota pick-up. I think Lou was glad to see it do well.

Larger report tomorrow evening. A great time was had by all.

Post subject:  Photo's

I went to Mason Dixon's web site and looked under their photos of this past weekends event and there about 28 pages with slant six cars one them. Begin on about page 64 and go up from there!

I know they are not cheap, but some of them are very good! May have to buy one myself.

I have some pictures too. If you want any from me just let me know and I will e-mail it to you if I have them of your car.
