how many HP can you expect outta an multipoint efi slant? say with comp 252 similar profile, slightly shaved head, headers (free flow duals to the end) msd multispark ignition??
and how much outta turbo efi with the same base engine?

thanks

The EFI won't give you more horespower, just better response and part throttle. What will give you more horsepower as bigger injectors and a throttle body, much in the same way that a bigger carb will give more horsepower. EFI has been shown in some tests to use less gas than a carb. to make the same amount of horspower. Something to think about is that their should be a performance gain from Bob D.'s setup if you originally have a one barrel. If you look down the one barrel car the hole goes down to a little larger than a quarter, if you look down the throttle body of the GM 3.8 liter throttle body it's the size of the two barrel's carb top(little less than three inches?), except all the way down. I'm betting that it'd actually produce a little more power than the two barrel, and once again throttle response and part throttle should be better(unless you actually managed to get your carb perfectly tuned).

The power from a turbo is dependant on boost. The more boost the more power, but generally more acceleration(turbo) lag(which can be fought to a certain point). Boost makes the engine act larger, but that's where my knowledge ends(other than that the engine has to be able to provide more fuel while under boost in order to avoid detonation, hence the reason that EFI simplifies turbo installation, it's sensors allow it to know that it's under boost and add more fuel, while a carb can't sense this as well and will probably have driveability/fuel economy significantly hurt, or face risk of detonation when the boost kicks in). I can't remember why some of the cars out their manage to have a turbo with a carb without problem, nor can I remember why supercharging supposed to be better with a carb(I think it might be because rather than being on a boost curve it produces the same amount of boost quickly, so that the carb can be set to be under boost all the time, but hurt fuel economy even under light acceleration where a turbo wouldn't spool up, or at least something like that.)
