Most carbs have an internal vent like this. It's supposed to be there, and is not at all comparable to running the external vent to the air cleaner. |

Hey Ted,That is a perfectly fine thing to do, and it's common practice (i've seen several). Since the fuel return line isn't pressurized when the car is OFF it vents just fine. |

That is a perfectly fine thing to do, and it's common practice (i've seen several). Since the fuel return line isn't pressurized when the car is OFF it vents just fine. |

Dan, what are some options After you suggest some alternatives from the stock fuel vapor system like you did with the ignition HEI mod, where can you buy a new filter and new charcoal refill or a complete new canister? Please list part numbers and automotive contacts where parts can be purchased. Thanks |
