Please allow me to hi-jack your post. The referenced link above is very good and I'm wondering what book it came from? HP Books published a couple of awsome publications in the past written by Don Taylor and Larry Hofer including "Small Block - Mopar Engines." I used that publication while building a race 360 motor. They have another one for big blocks and it too included step by step instructions for rebuilding a motor, and each publication includes very detailed photos, parts list, etc. Does anyone know of a book like these for the /6? If not, surely someone on this site could make a mint writing a book on the /'s.

So it looks like the 75 and later models had the stepped bolt to pass oil. But mines a 74, so it just has a standard looking bolt right? Its just longer than the rest...Correct?

Iv been robbed...:(. J/k i know theres a slant six race manual on epay if thats the type of publication your looking for...check it out though. So it looks like iv come to a stand still on my valve assy cuz from what im seeing everything is correct. So any ideas on my $#|tty starting? I know its getting gas...
