Don't be so hard on beautiful Norway, here in Mexico we are the fifth world producer of oil and the third exporter to the U.S., and our gasoline here is a third more expensive than in California and almost twice as expensive than in Texas. And remember... we do not earn in dollars  . Anyways, I was browsing this forum because economy is a big issue in my car... its economy is currently less than 5 km/l (11 mpg). It has an old basic 225 with a Holley 1945 (or 6145, not sure). I posted some questions in a forum called "Help for a Beginner Slant Lover"... please take a look and help... I am desperate...

Well I guess we should get back on topic. the 2 things I did on my car that I feel improved economy were getting the K&N airfilter and switching to an electric fan. Since I relpaced my rad with an brand new heavy duty model my electric fan would no longet fit. I had to put my direct drive fan back on. I have lost at least 2 mpg since. the Super six helped also. My best milage stock was 12 town and 14 highway. my best since the super six, K&N and electric fan was 18 town and 21 highway.
