I wish I had a 1bbl intake...
How many do you need :?:

I can ship it (bet it costs as much as buying a whole car) or put it in a bottle with a note (To: rust collector Address: Norway), drop it in the Atlantic and hope that it makes it to you one day! ;)

If you have that size bottles, I will move over there instead...
I have never had a 1bbl slant...
But I have seen two of them.
Those aluminum ones should be more shipping-friendly I guess.
And make sure you use a waterproof marker pen, so none of the Swedes get it.

My personal "value" favourite is the diecast aluminum Super6 manifold. Many people are afraid they leak so they seem to be cheap or free. (mine was free). All that is required is a simple leak test to feel confident
Sandy, are you sure you mean the die-cast one? It's the "one-piece" aluminum intake that's pretty scarce. In 1bbl form it was used only on the '76 Feather Duster/Dart Lite and some late model Vans. In 2bbl form it was offered only through MP (now discontinued). It is similar to the semipermanent-mold and sandcast aluminum 1bbls used on the '60 slant-6s.

I think the "Eek, it leaks!" diecast one you're talking about is the 2-piece EB-welded aluminum 1bbl and 2bbl intakes of '79-'81. It's the ultra-lightweight one that looks like a manifold-shaped plate, bead-welded atop a manifold-shaped trough ('cause that's what it is). The diecast sections were super thin wall so you really have to be careful not to crack or distort the manifold by overtightening them.

I don't know if this is the king of never-seen intakes (that honour probably goes to the Argentine Penin item that was discussed recently in the "parallel manifold" thread), but for weird-out value, it's tough to top the sidedraught 1bbl intake used with a Carter YH horizontal carburetor in the Clark Cortez motor home through 1967.

That's a pretty scarce bird. Used on '63 (only) B-body (only) cars with 225 and automatic (only).
