sounds cool,i've seen some info here and there about them.from what i understand some of the early high mileage devices don't function well with modern gas formulations. let us know how it goes.

I've heard this. Prior to the common use of the 'catalytic cracker' method of making gasoline, the actual heat/vacuum distilled gasoline was incredibly more volatile than the gas formulations of today. Plus there's detergent additives, etcetera. That would be the reason that the Pogue carburetor, which performed very well...but I doubt 300MPG well in the 30's. Would really not do so great today. I'm gonna hold out for cold fusion...and where are the flying cars? It's almost 2010...we should have flying cars, darnit!

Well, it's stuffed away in a tight storage spot and there's no time to retrieve it now. I don't have a scanner but MAY get it on here sometime later, probably in the winter months, so please...be patient! Thanks...wb

Variable venturi?

Is this like the ones that Honda had?

I had a '79 Marquis with a 351. It sucked gas around town. On a trip to Florida running 80-85 MPH it got 24-25MPG!

I thought my gas gauge was messed up!

My friend called that car a "result of the midnight dog screw!" Fords last attempt to keep EFI off their cars.
