There is a "metric horsepower"!
1 horsepower (550 ft-lbs/sec)
= 1.01386966 HP (metric) or ps (Pferdestarke - literally, horsepower)
=745.6999 watt

So 400 standard hp is 405.55 metric hp. Or 400 metric is 394.53 standard. Not a huge different to me.

It wuz meant as a joke!

Does anyone know what the verifyable (dyno) known high water mark is for the /6? I'd think you'd need a pretty damn big turbo to get 400 hp of any measurement system... I'm sure it's been done, though I think more is probably involved than just a turbo.

I know you guys don`t believe (didn`t believe it last time  ) but here it goes again. And there probably is more than a big turbo involved
527 metric hp at the rear wheels
Holset HX50 is a one huge turbo. Mine is just a "small" Schwitzer S2BG.

That HP is believable with a turbo. However, he should be running much faster than 10.7@119mph with that kind of rear wheel HP. That looks like a wonderful car, and I hope to see it in person someday. I don't see a boost number on there. Do you have it in bars or psi?

Cameron Tilley has made 396HP at the wheels (~5500 rpm) with 16lbs of boost (T4 turbo) in his street car. Has run 11.3 at 125MPH in the 1/4 on teenee weenee street tires (245/60-15). That MPH is good for mid 10s in the 1/4. Car weighs 1350kg empty. I have ridden in it and it is for real. It sounds and behaves like a stocker, but goes like a scalded dog.

He sees no reason why he couldn't make 600 HP at the wheels given what he has done with the car so far. Will the bottom end hold? Who knows...

Talked him a week ago. He is not running faster because he is running ot of revs. Converter is slipping too much. He changed gear ratio from 4.3 to 3.9 last winter and resulted no changes in time or speed. He tought that the converter builder didn´t believe that slant could produce so much power...
I think he uses about 20psi boost, not sure of that.

Camerons car looks awesom! I´ve seen a couple of pics and a video of that.
What is in his bottom end? Stock? Other specs?

The Drakes had the same problems with their converter builder making it too loose. Took them 3 tries, I believe. No reason why your buddy shouldn't run a 3.5 rear gear as well as a tighter converter.

Cameron's engine has stock rods/crank rebuilt and forged 0.100 over pistons (Venolia?). He stays under 6000 and runs 3.5 rear gear and pretty tight converter.
