After cooking the paint off the heads on a rebuild i did once on a SB due to trapped air I always first fire the motor with the front wheel on ramps or the front on jackstands. As well as drill a little hole in the T-stat. So far so good.

poured gas in the ports the #3 seat is seeping (not on the valve but around the seat). same cylinder that looked 'steam cleaned' upon tear down. need a head now. i'm not even going to bother bolting it on.

the machinist who did the head came over to the shop....showed him what was going on....i will have a new head here by tuesday.
