i am turning my pistons around since i have researched an found that it can increase low end torque by about 2 to 3 %. not much but all counts....the deal about it is the piston pins are slightly offset to have the piston self center to reduce noise...trade of for noise reduction was torque. anyway...GRT |

Quote: All the pistons are backwards in my motor. I guess that means I have a "Georgia" motor, huh?
All my pistons are installed backward in the Duster, too... That makes sense, since I am a Georgia redneck! Mike put them that way so we could use most of the valve clearance notches in my KB pistons. I need all the room I can get with that .675" roller in there. D/W |

so the pistons were turned around and the rods were pointing in the wrong direction. so a costly mistake found before firing.....and all it took was time and a new gasket on the oil pan.......right on thank people...... |
