Yep. Back when I had my 86 slantsix van, I was running an Offy intke but I didn't have the adapter plate, so I made up my own using a 2 inch spacer. Worked like a charm! |

Quote: The Offy is often used on Jeeps too, so look on ebay for Offenhauser manifold, jeep intake, etc. Usually run $150 to $250 depending on particular sale and goodies that come with the manifold.
Huh? How does a Jeep manifold apply to a slant?

Hi Cstryker, Heck I dunno, but there must be a Chrysler/AMC/Jeep relationship somehow. The newest vehicle I own is a 64 so corporate finagling is something I just don't keep up with. I think Ford bought some other companies the last dozen years too. But the point wasn't who made slants, it was that offys can be found on jeeps, for someone cruising in junkyards. I was a Willys mechanic from 60 to 69 and still run a 46 willys and a GP for fun in the woods. Ih my opinion Willys will always be the only vehicle worthy of being called "jeep", because whoever go hold of them after the 60's made them cheap and popular. And light and no guts. Hate to think it was Chrysler, but maybe Iacocca did it. Oughta google it but I don't even know the names of anything outside of mother mopar! best to all rock '64d100 |
