Quote: Okay, now I know that I´m running too rich, for luck they are not sticky. I will clean my plugs and try to adjust the mixture tomorrow morning..... you got plenty of time while you are unemployed......
I know what you mean I start back into it on Tuesday... If you're idling and everything is warmed up and you're black and no load on the engine, check the mix....if you're out on the highway, you get to do my favorite task...(the cops love this one....) maintain the same cruise speed for a few miles on level highway, cut the ignition, jam tranny into neutral, drag it to the shoulder...put on 4ways, lift hood and start pulling plugs to check color (the old 60's way....)... Like Pierre said there will be some instances where things can get rich, (like accelerating, then taking your foot off the pedal/slamming the plates shut all of a sudden...etc...) -D.Idiot |
