It's a shame they are so expensive, but an AF ratio gauge would be a big help here. Especially since there are so many combinations with a Holley that will effect everything else. Float height, metering valve body,power valve, fuel pressure, and jet size all interact, so the same size jet may give different results if one of the other things is different. And, they are so easy to adjust in a Holley. It's just that without an AF gauge, you are kind of shooting blind a little bit. You can read the plugs, but that shows just a snap shot in time under one operating condition.

That being said, I am pretty sure you fixed your problem with the vacuum leak. I like the hand choke, by the way. I never could get the electric chokes timed just right.
