Getting that block then installing those Hyper-Pak and HP exhaust manifolds from eBay on it would make a nice coffee table. :D (like one I've seen somewhere before)

 I've already got the block, just trying to figure out what to do with it. A coffee table isn't in the cards; Wifee wants me to get rid of junk, not bring it in the house.

I hope these pics work and are not too large. This is what my aluminum block looked like. I have over 1500 miles on it now after a stock rebuild. I had some trouble this summer with water and oil mixing but after re-torquing the head bolts and changing the oil, filter, and antifreeze a few times, it seems OK now. Mine is a 1963 with the number 51859. I think you can click on these to get a better view. Hope this helps.

That is the motor out of Wilford Day's Bonneville car and is in Bob Stepp's house.

Even if the block isn't salvagable, keep it around for a "dummy/setup" block. The mounts are the same as the iron, and it's a bunch easier hoisting the al block. You could even keep it on the engine stand as a convo piece.
