Wow, that link was pretty cool. I have some questions about how this would apply to our application in a low voltage EFI system. They said if there is a difference of 2 volts or greater along the two paths, then you have ptential noise, and it seems as if that would not be the case here since we are talking a total voltage of 5 volts on the highest voltage sensors. Also, is there inherent noise in DC voltage? Would noise in this EFI application come only from picking up "noise" from nearby magnetics fields or can there be noise in a DC current as well. I understand how AC creates "noise" but DC has no occilation. I see how multiple grounds can creat a kind of antenae for recieving this noise. Sam |

So where does this leave us? If we ground one sensor at the block and take the others to the ECM, will this create a ground loop, with noise potential? If we double up the sensor grounds, by grounding them to the block and leaving the harness ground through the ECM in place, will that create a ground loop? What is the effect of the ground loop on how things operate? This is the kind of question tht falls into the "underlying principals" category.
