Yes, I mean swap the two leads from the module pick-up. Sorry if that came across wrong; it's just a cliche in bad science fiction that "reversing the polarity" fixes any technical problem.

And yes, a bad pick-up coil will keep it from firing. But they're so simple it's rare for the coils to break.

I tried swapping the output leads. No dice. It looks more and more like a bad distributor.......Because it's rare, I'll have the problem.
I'll keep trying, but I may have to take the dizzy back. If I'd known I was to have all this trouble, the distributor from NAPA would have been worth the extra $10.00.
Oh, well. Live & Learn.
I guess it bumfuzzles me because it's so simple. It has to work. Unless, of course, something is broke. And everything has been replaced except for the distributor.
