Thanks for responding, everyone! What it comes down to is I'm basically looking for inexpensive options to get more performance out of my truck, but if this would take a lot of time to get working, I probably should put the project off until I get out of school. It's looking like it would be more than a weekend project and I actually need to use my truck. Can anyone suggest the easiest way to put a 4bbl on my truck that wouldn't be too expensive (and will pass Texas emissions--it's an '80)? Thanks again everyone! Eric eric.satrum@mail.utexas.edu |

Leave the carb. and work on opening-up the exhaust side. Also work on re-curving the distributor. If the truck is a 1 bbl, look for a factory 2 bbl set-up. DD |
