Valiantwagonguy,

I went through alot of heart burn with my 1974 when I bought it. I rebuilt that Holley 1945 carb too many times and really never liked it. One day my wife said take it off and go back to a basic and stable set up. So I pulled it and all the polution gear and harnesses.........Doug Dutra mentioned the same thing.

Now I have a Holley 1920 Economaster. I did keep the gas vapor system, but that is all. It runs like a top and will burn rubber when I want it to.... :D You just can't beat the simplicity, mileage and performance for a one barrel.

Your Valiant sure was nice! Will you rebuild it?

Thanks, I can't rebuild the Valiant the frame is all twisted and heaved upward on the pas side. The centerline of the motor in relation to the firewall should be square but is now at an angle with the front of the motor at about the 7 o'clock position. It took a real shot.My wife was hurt pretty bad and lost teeth and had to have knee surgery to drain the blood. .The car is now a parts car for my little 65 Valiant V100 2 door sedan. It won't go to waste.
