Looks like the county bought the track!

Next step is to clean it up some before they can open for racing, might be June if things go fast.

If this thing gets bigger, what's it take to get a Slant 6 race up here in the Pacific Northwest?

:D

:D[/quote]I say it would take a few us to get organized and make it happen. I know I would make the trip but might have to run the big block (sorry) How about a Mopar race?

Keep us in the loop about a schedule.

For a slant 6 race, or just the track in general?

The study put out by the county (.pdf in the link above) said that an ambitious schedule would have the track open in June. They want to clean it up and do something about the bathrooms first. When I know more, I will let you know.

If you have race or spectated at SRP (now SMSP - Spokane Motorsport Park) you might want to give your input.

http://www.logicdepot.com/surveys/run/s ... B9G&SRC=WS

FYI, the park has been leased(?) to Bucky Austin to run. Should be a good thing, from what I understand. I think they are going to put a bunch of money into it.

I've got one buddy that is so jacked he went and found himself a cheap Dakota to build a race truck out of. I'm even thinking about running my '74 Duster on a regular basis. Guess we will see.

I had seen on another board that Bucky was at the helm now. Hope he can make a go of it. :D

FYI, contract with Bucky Austin was signed last December, for 25 years.

Also, the track became an NHRA member last Thursday. Link.

Just trying to keep things up to date as I hear them.

Never been to this track, but I see they have a road course. I would love to take my van and/or my 5th Ave on a road course!

My goal with my Valiant has been a DD track car. Sure am glad to see that the track wont be going away before I get my car moving. :D
