Here's my modified 1 bbl

That is exactly what I am planning. To machine the current manifold and install a two barrel adapter but I am planning to bolt the adapter since I think that welding can deform the manifold. did you have any deformation issues? Also When I check the manifold for two barrels I see that the throttle pin is perpendicular to the engine. You have made it parallel. Is there any special reason for that? I live in turkey so it will be really hard for me to ship a manifold to my address :)

Looking forward to your reply.

Sincerely yours,

1. Cast iron manifold. No deformation issues.

2. My 61 has solid throttle linkage. The rotation of the shaft has to be reversed for the bbd.
I could have changed to a cable type linkage but I opted not to. Also, in theory you should get better distribution of the fuel with the throttle plates running parallel to the intake runners

Mine has cable linked, it is not a problem for me to rotate the carb but I also heard the distribution is better in this (parallel) way. Did you feel any performance increase?

By the way, you have been a great help. Thank you for clarifying dark clouds over me :)

[quote="SlantSixDan"]61V200, I still say that's first-class work you did.

Did anyone else see the one that went by on eBay last month? Somebody got a deal...was it one of us here?

Yes, it was one of us here! A newbe, I've been lurking in the background for a couple of years reading a lot of these interesting posts. After buying this manifold I decided that I had to join; in order to get some suggestions/help on how to utlize this manifold.

Application: 85 Dodge 150
727 trans
3.55 gears

My questions, has anyone suggestions on a carb to use and what do I use for a trans kickdown assy.
