Thankyou for the measurements!! I dont have the stock rearend I switched it when I put the Ford 2.8L v6 in. It now has a Ford 8.8" The body is in very good shape!! I keep it indoors in one of my shops.

As others have said, this sounds like a cool project! 8)

I have a buddy who took a sixties era vw bug, built a special frame for it, then rebuilt and installed a 455 cubic inch V8 from an early '70s Buick or Oldsmobile.

Oklahoma Joe, is that a factory valve cover, or an aftermarket one on that slant? Looks good, but not like the usual slant six valve cover.
