Post subject:  Bump....Clutch action: UPDATE

Hey all (who were interested in my "clutch action problem")

Never could find a new p.plate, disc or throwout, couldn't afford [at least at the present time] a parts re-builder or a more modern tranny update.

So, went ahead resurfaced the flywheel, installed a new pilot bushing (the only new part available) and cleaned the 'heck' out of all the old parts.
Bolted everything back up.

Oh man, wow! that A745 transmission, although small in size, is VERY HEAVY !!! If I did that everyday? I'd have arms like Popeye !
:)
Anyway, I bled the slave cylinder, crawled out from under, said my prayers, and drove off very, very smoothly.
No shudder whatsoever !!! ......Wooooooo, whoooo!!!! :D

Subsequent 'road tests' have been A+ .....again----> ':D'

Duster Idiot, Rock and Doc (and the rest of you 'experts')
I sure appreciate all the encouragement & excellent advice. THANKS !

Spider

P.S. One thing I did notice (when installing the drive shaft) that it has almost 1/4 inch of play. Not at the universal, but inside the axle. Gonna have to move this concern into a new topic I guess.
But first will check the gear oil level in it.

another edit:
Rock, still wondering what your truck looks like ?
