Doc, if Stonethk won't let you borrow his, I would be glad to loan you mine for a while! My build is a long way away and I would love to see what this thing will do! Let me know!
Would you be up-set if I drilled & tapped 6 Fogger nozzle holes in it?

I wonder if the fuel distribution would be more even if you rotate the carb 90 degrees...........

Let me know if you want to bring your manifold up to Redding in a couple of weeks, show it off to all the racers and we can also arrange a "hand-off".
Shoot me a PM for details...

HEY ALL

hey i got it fitted last night .the toqure diffrance is awsome a 1/8 throttle stab just makes the 235 wide rear treads spin .. it was a little damp but you still can feel the instant throttle response .

it took me about 4 hours to fit it ,it need a litte bit of trimming to clear the weges under the manifold .. and my intake is pinned to the head to ensure the correct alingment with the intake port so i needed to dill 2 litte holes and pull it off and on a few time to make it just right .

i did not feel to stressed bout grinding a bit away because the runner are quite thick and the chances of it cracking due to the rocking motion at idle . seem very unlikely due to the fact its enqual runners help give it lovely smooth idle .

the drive .. the first thing here i have done no tuning i didnt even change any settings on the edelbrock .or timming ..

the reverse out of the drive way i was very shocked to spin the treads on the drive way . rolled on to the road .. and gave it a tickle .. nice grunt .. but no kick down.. so i just cruised it . to see vacum. at 35 . it did sit about 14-16hg .. now it was over at 20 !! i was like humm what going on here .. i bit of a quick though .. more air speed due to the nice runners

a quick squirt in a 60 mph zone soon proved the top end pulling power a half throttle stab and there a nice induction sound .. followed but a quick look across the guades there 80 mph .. i mite just get off it
there is a little ping under hard throttle but that all good just timming .. i`ve got mine at 18` when i should have it at about 14 `

so all in all it`s not a hyper pack but its still very nice AND IT WORKS WELL..

the black sheep ..

tired and dreaming of1/4 times .

Found that cheap ebay price for the manifold...I guess the dollar is surprisingly strong in some parts of the world: http://tinyurl.com/4lduwy

To divide it, you'd need to rotate 90 degrees.

And have a big 4bbl carb so that each side has enough capacity (you need the same capacity carb for 3 cylinders as for 6)

Ed, what did you have in mind (cfms) to be effective?

Post subject:  Carb Size

HEY ALL

i went for a bit of a crusie last night . and fixed the kick down .

the extra power is good and i really enjoy and over all tq increase i drove around a hilly bit of town just to hear the induction sound . 2nd at about 3000 up a hill is nice .. and it does not have a big surge of power when it comes on unlike the last intake . ..

the only thing i mite change is the carb possiby a 600 cfm may be a edelbrock avs . i don`t know about swinging the carb 90` because the manifold has a quite large tapered pleum smaller on the pri side over the sec side , this must blace the flow out ..

At least a 650 if you split the plenum.

I see that on the PPR web site the manifold is AUS460 whi8ch currently is about $300 US. The Aussie currency has taken a big nosedive against the US dollar. Could be a good time to get some of them Aussie toys.
