Yes, the 4360 does need an adapter to go to a square bore, but you can get Mr. Gasket and Transdapt spread bore to square bore adapters. They aren't very tall. I run one on my 84 Ford van to get the 4360 mounted on the Edelbrock intake. When I swap intakes to an Offy dual port I am going to have to modify the adapter to add a dividing wall between the primaries and secondaries to maintain the separation between the passages. |

I have traced the Thermoquad gasket onto the Offy adpater plate. I also think it will go sideways too. Need to add 2 holes where the Offy adapter screw holes don't line up. Just need to mod the 4 holes in the intake base. I have a couple of pieces of really thick plastic from an airliner that maybe usable to fab a spreadbore adapter. I have a Qjet off a 87 360 van motor that would be neat to try. I am running another Qjet on my 79 van right now. |

Building your own spreadbore adapter is a lot of work. There are already ready-made parts for this purpose, which I've used on my car. Slant Six Quadrajet |
