Lou, check out Mopar Engines ( I have access to the 9th editon) part#5249704. Can't find isbn number. They discuss oil pan mods as well as the whole oiling system for a slant on pages 733 - 738. Hope this helps.

I have that book. I'll check it again, but I don't remember the oiling mods as being better than common sense. The swinging pickup only went fore/aft, which only helps me a little.

Frank, will check Milodon - thanks.

One worry is that such a pickup would either wear out or get stuck in one position and really screw things up.

The picture looked like side to side (or at least could be made side to side) thoughts would be banging the side out of the oil pan over time. Maybe some sort of damper system to keep it off the sides (spring over pin welded to the side s ???)
