Ron I will need to camp somewhere if I am able to make this race. With our funds being real tight and after my car broke down at the Knoxville race. Do you know if it would be possible to camp at the track or would a campground be fairly close by. Right now it is not looking to favorable. Also what is the cost for entering the race. Me and Big MaMa definately want to make it if possible. Also my car has not been driven down a track since the tranny was fixed. Hopefully we will be able to make it. Norm

Hey Norm, Danny Dunn always let me camp at the track. One year I camped there for 3 days for a Sat nite race. He's good people.

Norm,

Really hope you and Elaine can make it. Camping will be fine, yes.

OK, me thinks that I am going as long as my car runs enough to get it loaded. Maybe someone can help figure out the problem if we cannot get it figured out before hand.

Great! Can't wait to see you and the Dart. I'll have a new vehicle (for me) out for the first time. We'll see what it runs...

Sounds good Lou. If the car is not running right, I am planning on bringing some spare parts to do a little trouble shooting with all the Slant 6 crew around.

Karaski - hope you can make it! We usually don't even start time runs until 4 or 5 PM, so you could even bring your car and run it. Looking forward to meeting you in person.

I am in the middle of a suregrip swap on the Slantkota so I can hook it up on the track. Looking forward to seeing what this thing will run. With luck, I'll get over to Radford for t'n't Fri night.

Lou

Ok Guys I finally got to see Danny today and here are the entry fees.
First if you only run the Slant Six class the entry is 20.00 for car and driver.
If you want to run Top ET 50.00 for car and driver and Slant Six is free.
If you run Modified 45.00 for car and driver and Slant Six is free. Spectators fee is 15.00 per person. This is basically the same entry we have had in the past. Hope to see everyone at Empire Sat. morning!
thanks
Ron

Ron,

Has anyone talked with Rodney/Alanna or other folks from over that way? Might be worth a call tonight to give them a nudge. I'm guessing that none of the Bruner crowd will make it, which is a shame, but totally understandable. Glad to hear that Meril does not have a serious heart problem.

We'll head out by 8 AM from here, hopefully earlier, so we'll see you before 10 AM. The Slantkota is running like a champ.

Looking forward to it!

Lou

I know the car show starts at 9:00. How long will it last?
I was going to bring my 2 sons, but it seems there are 2 more teenagers coming with me. So if you see a 57 year old with 4 teenagers, its me.

Thanks
Tommy

Good times! Glad to see everyone again! Special thanks to Ron and Kay Hamby for the spread. Wilkesboro is always a nice place to meet old friends and make new ones. See y'all at BRISTOL!
