I knew I'd seen this in a magazine in the past year or so, and I finally located the issue. The October 2008 Mopar Action has an article on a '64 Valiant with a supercharged slant 6 (225 cu. in.). He used a Pro-Charger unit, at 5 psi, blowing thru a Demon 650 carb to produce 202 hp at the rear wheels. In addition to the blower, he did a lot of porting work on the head, put large valves in it, used a Clifford cam, headers and intake manifold, and MSD ignition. Unfortunately, it's not an article on how to supercharge, so that's about all the details it gives.

Not very good results for the expense of the Procharger. They would have gotten the same results without the Procharger.

Thats where the basics this board teaches should go a long way to making a build work. There are several Procharger builds that just dont measure up. Not the Prochargers fault.

Well, the article did say he was limiting boost to 5 psi for now. I think he plans to crank it up a bit later. But, yes, that's a lot of money for not that much gain. Aren't those kits like around $5k or so?

The kit is pricy. I purchased mine from the supercharger store and it was a little over $5k. I have it installed in a duster. As people have posted here before, the kit is expensive and there are cheaper ways to boost your slant, but I'm extremely happy with their product and customer service. I would also look at the PPR blower intake for the M-90 supercharger as said previously. I think hood clearance will a problem not sure though. Also you posted that procharged valiant was 202hp at 5lbs. I agree with kesteb about the results. I had my car on a chassis dyno a little over a year ago. At 8lbs boost I made 308hp to the wheels.
