Post subject:  Video please?

Hey, anyone who is going to Clay city and has a camcorder or even a good camera shoot some video of the races and post it for all the world to see. I know I liked seeing our Mason Dixon race on the computer. I'd enjoy seeing this race too. Thanks to all, and have a great time.

Hey Ron Parker I noticed you were setting up Slanted Attitude for dead on and kill. Just thought I would mention I was getting my car ready for ClayCity today and noticed a button on the dash it had 3 settings: cruse, race and extreme kill. Wow how did I miss that before. I didnt think you would mind so I clicked it over to extreme kill mode.

The button on my dash says dead late or break out. :(

This is looking to be a good race with cool weather and some fast speeds. Ron hope the brake and delay helps you with your lights. I hope the nitro will pick up my car a bunch. Hopefully our sponson Mr. Whaley with Southern Chemicals will make this race. I talked to him today and I am encouraging him to take his motor home and come out and watch the races. I even talked to him about driving my car for the Friday nignt races against the off brands. See everyone on Friday. Norm

Post subject:  Who won ???

Slantzilla,

With that big purse and all the "extreme Kill" talk going around maybe they are all fighting over who won the $$$$  Maybe we should check the news and make sure nothing bad happened.

We had 11 cars show up, but 2 of them could not make eliminations after qualifying. Weather was cool and provided some fast racing. Final featured a rematch of the first race of the season at Maryland. Lou vs. Ron Hamby, with Lou getting the win in his slant Dakota truck. Ron lit the red bulb unfortunately. Lou also collected the bounty on Ron Parker in the second round! Seymour believes Lou is the first person to win 2 races in the same year in different cars! Hamby still won our eastern points title, but Lou was able to slip into second place over Ron Parker.

Don't wait for Lou to post, it is awkward to give the results when you were the winner! Some of the guys out west have the same problem. It was cool but dry on Saturday and we had a great race. There were 3 cars in the 11s and 3 more in the low 12s. Howard Davis was a surprise entry with son Jason driving the Hillside Six 74 Dart Sport. Howard has continued to work on his car while the rest of us sit on our hands and showed us a 11.27 at 2800# on alcohol. Nice job Howard!

Lou drove the Dakota and had it set on 15.95. Ron Hamby who will be the Eastern points champion red lighted againt Lou in the final. Lou pocketed $800 for the win including an extra C note for taking Ron Parker out in the second round. The air density was in the 700' range all day and many racers turned their best times ever. Gary Bruner made one run off the trans brake and lifted the wheels about a foot.

Some of the delay box racers really wanted to have the crosstalk on for the Slant race and this is an issue that still needs to be resolved for the future.

We made it home last night about 9:30 just ahead of three inches of snow. I had to put some anti freeze into the race car Sunday morning in the motel parking lot.

You all should have been there.
