I "super sixed" my 1964 Dodge Dart GT with a 225 slant by grabbing a super six intake on eBay and attaching a Weber 32/36 progressive two barrel carb. The machine has never run better! If you can do this setup I highly recommend it. The only "issue" is adapting the carb to the intake, but this is easily solved by using a two piece adapter you can find on almost any Chrysler Jeep enthusiast website (the Chrysler Jeeps used an inline six with a 2-barrel carb that had the same bolt pattern as the super six Holley carb has; and it is very common for those jeep owners to slap Weber 2-barrels onto their vehicles, so getting the adapter is easy). The only other thing I did was change out the exhaust manifold to the 3 inch exhaust that the super six uses instead of sticking with the stock 2.5 inch outpipe. I just bolted my setup on and started the car. Good luck with whatever you decide to do though. EDIT: I was also able to setup the carb to use the stock throttle linkage that your Carter BBS uses, if you would like pics or more info on my engine/carb setup let me know and I can e-mail you photos, just send me a PM on the forums. |
