If its just to limit rubbing, then your first pic shows them going from the rad ziptied to the frame. Not a good idea without any bends in the middle, flexing will be limited and they will eventually snap.

It looks like you used a brass fitting between the line and rubber hose - why not just flare?

Good job overall though - its a PITA to work with hardline like that and get everything to look decent and work.

They pass between the bumper bracket and k-frame on that side, but are not attached to either. The zipper just holds the rubber over the hard lines to prevent chafing.

I just like the way hose fits over a hose barb better than over a flare.

PITA is right! First putting the trans in then laying on my back and sides on the cold floor reaching up to attach everything to the trans. Then all the bending; a good bit of which I did by hand, now I'm kinda sore. Thanks too, I'm glad you like it.

I got to take the car out on the road today finally. Ran it through the gears with the rear on jackstands, topped off the fluid and away we went! Shifted a little soon into second, and a little late into third. May need a little tweaking on the kickdown. Took a little work to get running since it had been so long, but once it was hot ran good.

Next thing I tackle will probably be valvelash adjustments, if it needs them. After that I've gotta pull a wiring harness out of another car as the alternator isn't charging and I just don't know where to start on that rat's nest of wiring....

Felt good to be behind the wheel!
