its appreciated DI but i got it covered, little sheet metal, some jb weld, 2 intake/exhaust mani studs 2 nuts and one misc bolt, 2 spacers ( one was from a chunk out of long spacer for my rear sway bar end links, the other was a 5/16 tube nut)

Does your set up include heated air for the air cleaner?. This will help with cold drivarbility. I think it is a part that bolted onto and around the stock exhaust manifold.

I think your block off plate is a good start, but honestly is too thin to last. It is so much trouble to take off that intake exhaust/combo, I would encourage you to take your sheet metal plate to a machinist, or metal worker and have a 1/4" plate made as Joshua recommended. It will save you much time in the long run. Your back will thank you for it. Not only that, but if you put a thicker plate in there, you will get the needed heat transfer to make life better in the cold weather.

The fire rating for that thin of sheet metal is about 1-2 hours...The fumes from heated galvinized( the zinc) will make you sick and send you to the hospital (in my trade you have to wear a filter mask and a welding hood to weld on it).

From previous experience with bolting on plates to use with the Dutra split manifold I would shoot for 3/16" plate, and if you mix is OK you can use the Bronze RTV...JB weld I think holds up to about 300-350 degrees (exhaust is in the 4-500 range if tuned...and up to 1000 if you are reallly lean).

well i know about the fumes from galvinized steel, but this is just a patch, I have header flanges (off ebay) on order, I have a buddy of mine swinging by today and I will got get raped at home depot for some sheet steel, it was me just seeing if it #1 i could do it, and #2 if it might survive engine break in, but i will fix it once i get my sheet steel.

now what kind of mounting spacer is need to go between the cliffy intake and my eddy carb ??

working on a 2" spacer as we speak (i know kinda thick but the wood was free lol) since my cliffy came with no carb adapter I got to engineer one !!

also I have a edelbrock 1405 series carb (it was also free ) now my 2 questions are can i get rid of the AUXILIARY VALVES & WEIGHTS #42

Be sure to use a gasket on each side..........I've been doing these wood spacers for years and they always work perfectly. I even ran a 9:93 with wooden spacers on a tunnel ram. I'm old school, really old school. I'm surprised someone hasn't tried to tell you differently. Make sure it's flat!

cheapest spacer i could find THAT WOULD work but still need to be modded-------$29 (1"alum)

UPDATESSS !!!! well i had to stop started messing stuff up oh yea it ws also 630 in the morning.......... i started working on her at 6pm an and off till about 8pm then hard charged throught the rest,
