I will let you know when i get some long term driving time/ Drag racing done. I will have it on the street as soon as I get the transmission swapped. So far I only have about 20 min of driving time. Throttle response was crisp and immediate right off of idle even with my large cam. I do not have a turbo right now but it is supposed to learn under boost too. I do have nitrous, and will be using that, and supposedly it will adjust for that as well. Time will tell but I was just glad it started, idled smoothly and ran ok right out of the box. The computer is mounted directly on the throttle body but it looks sealed very well. It is extremely simple to hook up with very little wiring because it is all self contained. I am looking forward to some serious testing and will put an update as soon as i can.

in a video i saw the owner said it was completely weather proof, and from what i can tell if you got the $$$$$$ its a worth while set up, but personally i'm a hot rodder, which means i do amazing sh!t on the cheap lol, and am aiming to get a MPFI set up done for well under $500

I like some of the stuff on that site especially the fuel on demand setup. I also am impressed with the all-in-one-ness of that EFI system. Looks to be well executed. Not much for Mopars on there though :(

I also like those billet oil filters. Pretty cool. Is this US made stuff?

From what I can tell it is an American Owned company that has the majority of the products outsourced. I generally buy American made whenever possible, but from what I could tell there are no 100% made in USA fuel injections systems. It seems that most of the parts for EFI are outsourced from various countries. I think some of the brands (edelbrock??) may do the castings here in the US, then outsource the remaining components. I do wish there was an easy to install kit made in 100% in the US but I don't think there is??? I was going to try the fuel on demand kit, but it is new and I wanted to give it some time to see if it will actually work. They say it works great, and the fuel pump runs much less.

Oh yes there is, Megasquirt ;) I know because I built it. :D I know what you mean though. The injectors I have or fuel rail or something probably comes from China.

The thing I like about that FOD is its programmable fuel pressure under boost feature. That could really work out well for a turbo app. I downloaded the manual and it is pretty good.

I'm not immune to buying stuff like that. If you are a dealer, shoot me a PM on that FOD pricing. I'll be the guinea pig if its reasonable.

They don't let you put a "Made in USA" label unless you get nearly all the content from the US, and when you're building electronics, a lot of the integrated circuits seem to be made, well, just about anywhere. We've got parts from China, Malaysia, Germany, and more in the MegaSquirt. So although the PCB and case are made in the US, and all the assembly is done in the US, it doesn't have a "Made in the USA" label. (Oddly enough, Spectre kept a similar amount of their ECU production in the US, even though they're known for sourcing parts overseas normally.) I suspect some of the other companies have the same situation.

Most of the sensors and injectors are picked up from OEM manufacturers - I'm not sure where, exactly, some of the Delphi injectors and sensors we sell came from, for example. Others I know where they're from, and it often isn't the US. Getting a sensor made in the US can be a challenge for any short run if you want to price it comparatively with an OEM product that's made in the millions, no matter where they make it. And with wiring, a lot of wire wholesalers don't specify their source.

Fuel pumps, pressure regulators, fuel rails, and throttle bodies are all pretty easy to find in American made versions though.

I am very interested in the fuel on demand setup too. I will look up the dealer price tomorrow and let you know the cost. It would be great to have someone else be the guinea pig! I was just afraid to try the F.O.D. and go with EFI at the same time because I have no experience with these sort of things. I will send you a PM.

That approach is generally safer, cuts out the risk of having a random customs inspector finding a bunch of Chinese parts with the labels already on them and your shipping address on the label.

I have gotten an email at work from someone in China asking if we were interested in buying counterfeit Walbros (which did have the "Made in USA" designation stamped on them in China). I deleted that one, but maybe I should have asked if they'd accept payment in Monopoly money...
