There is no off-the-shelf/replaceable throttle bushing in any carb used as factory equipment on the Slant-6. If there's side slop in the throttle shaft-to-throttle-body junction, you need to have it rebushed. See here. |

Ray. If you can afford it try the HEI upgrade, you won't be disappointed. I have done this on my 65 AP6 and i am getting between 10 > 12 kms a litre. Yes,i have done tests with my odometer from full tank to full tank. I have also done tests with maps to calculate the distance. Both seem to be pretty much the same. What carby are you running ? If it is a single barrel, you could try fitting a 2 barrel carb, you will find you will get better fuel economy. I had fitted a 2 barrel to my VF Coupe i used to have, better fuel economy. I have fitted a 2 barrel to my AP6 and done the HEI upgrade, better fuel economy. There is lots of info on here about the HEI upgrade,or here is my link. http://www.moparmarketforum.com/forum/v ... 57&t=22121 Cheers, Greg |

H Greg, It Currently has the original Carter carby on it, I put a kit thru it but I think it is just too worn out, am going to go thru and double check the timing etc as per Dans instructions, but i;m 99% sure that is all good. We do Have a 250 holley that was on the car when we bought it but it was badly mounted, leaked fule, idle jets were loose and was missing a few bits, Had a home made adapter plate that leaked as well, maybe i should get a rebuild kit for it, and mount properly.
