Just out of curiosity, if you have the original tank in hand, drop it, its only two bolts, inspect the straps, available from Summit as well, and inspect the unit, the re- line kit I used was more than efficient, to handle all my worries, throw a chain inside the tank, knock the crud off and out of the unit, rinse, lather repeat, and inspect the unit again, pin holes , leaks and such and if it passes muster, re-line it, this is just as if you spent the three hundred dollars to have someone boil it down and do the very same, this is not a difficult process, but does take time and sweat, I have had no problems from my fuel system with this kind of repair.

I have fallen myself into the trap that rubbing a little money on something is not always the best fix. I have priced these tanks they are not cheap, if your car has been sitting and the tank does not leak as it sits now you may be in luck, the only way to know for sure is to remove the tank and give a thorough inspection, while out of the car. An inspection of this sort should take no more than three to four hours at best, and if you live in the U.S. I would ask that you buy a product made here from a reputed seller, take pride in the fact that American made is still some damn fine stuff. Best wishes
