So you FINALLY got Mark to make a set huh?
Im REALLY glad we needed them.
Frank
Since, there are no 170 headers available, this was a priority. I also sent him a set of the same style Cliffords for the 225 early "A" body. But since there are headers available for those cars, I don't know what his plans are, on those.

Charlie,

It looks like the 225 headers they have don't fit 60-66, and I assume these new ones will fit a 225 or 170? I'm in for a set.

I drooled all over Dave Mueller's set on his 68 Valiant in Woodburn - great design.

Thanks for your efforts.

Lou

The headers Aussie Speed had would not fit the early "A" bodies. They do fit the '67 up 225, if I remember correctly. But I think there was a problem with the 170, even in the 67 up. I did a test fit a few years ago. Will have to try and find my notes. These new ones are just for the 170 early "A" body. I don't think he tried to make the same header fit both engines. I will have to ask him. I did send him a set of Clifford 170 headers, and a set of Clifford 225 headers, as samples. I really don't want to guess too much. Just wanted to let everyone know what is in the works.

Frank good to know you are still around, Now this project was started by Frank but due to the amount of dollars that were required in getting a product like this off the ground it was a case of when we could afford to do it it will be done.once the headers get test fitted i am fairly sure that they will fit both 170 & 225 in early A bodies as i will post some photos on my website when i get a chance of both sets fitting in the jig.there only looked to be a difference around the starter motor area on the rear pipes & the pipe drop looked the same.any one wanting pipes it is going to be cheaper to send a few sets rather than 1 set so even though you may have to do a few changes if they dont fit right with this first shipment there will be a bit of a saving. Dave Muller got real good results from our products as i keep in touch with him regularly. The cost of AussieSpeed products are more expensive because we are not interested in getting them made in China or India.. We only want to make a Quality product & we believe we do that..Mark

Nice to hear from you directly, Mark. I know a Land-speed guy in Seattle who will want a pair too. Thanks again for your efforts!

Glad to see your still making progress. I would be in for 2 sets if they will fit the 225 early A's. As usual I have several different configurations of 225 early A's to fit with.
Text or ring if you want.'
Cheers,
Frank

Very cool pics and writeups. Thanks again Mark for everything.

BTW, it looks like my wife and I will be in Melbourne for a few months working next year. It would be cool to visit you in Adelaide (right?) if we can swing a trip over...

If everything works out OK, it would probably be better as a group buy, since shipping one at a time from Australia, is pretty pricey.
Aussiespeed GROUP BUY! Would it just be for headers or could we throw in a short run intake and maybe a valvecover?

Just letting every one know that the new headers that need a trial fit have come to a halt, i hope to get the problem sorted soon as we are having trouble getting a left hand drive early A body car here with a 170 & a 225 in Australia to test fit them to.Havent heard from Frank & i think Charrlie doesnt want to spend any money incase the headers dont fit which i understand but i am 95% sure we have the right by the samples.. Before any one asks yes i dont have a problem sending them to any one in the USA to test fit but due to the cost involved it is not going to be a freebie. I just wish we could find a bricks & mortar businesses who dealt in the SL6 Chrysler stuff that understand the cost of manufacturing things like this & the work involved..may be some day we will find someone.. until we can get something sorted i am sorry but we cant give any one an update.. Mark
