Gainesville Raceway is the closest track to me, also. But they have cut back their schedule. They used to be open almost all winter, now they are closed from the end of Nov (except for the race they hadlast weekend), untill Feb. They have also had a reduced schedule during the season. Not every weekend, and the weekends they run points, they run a sat day race, then you can pay again, and run the sat night race. Or you can run one or the other. PS: Gainesville Raceway is not an independent track. It is owned by NHRA. |

yea i know about gainsville, but until i get the motor running right in the slant, its not worth it to me to drive down there. I could always run the Neon lol. Man Charrlie that is terrible news, I leave for a 9 month deployment in mid january, so no racing for me, maybe when we go down to sarasota/bradenton this coming weekend I can run the neon at bradenton motorsports park, -Mike |

As of this point in time, the dragstrip will not be running in 2013. That could change "IF" the track is sold as a dragstrip. At this time there is no sale in place. Hi, Gene. I didn't know Orlando was back open, thanks for the update. Doesn't look like I will be going anywhere this year. Too many things going on. Hated to miss the MOB show, but just couldn't get away. The first picture you posted, has the DeSoto of Steve Adams. Steve and his son Stephen had been campaigning my 66 Valiant, in 2012. |
