Greg, John Bielinda was approached once years ago about having a Slant race at the Nats. He was less than interested to put it mildly.

The racers at the banquet did discuss the Columbus race at the banquet. It was decided not the put the race on the calendar at this time for 2014. We thought it would best not to schedule two races on the same date. If someone was serious about Columbus for this year they would need to step up immediately and make some contacts with Jeff and check out dates, payouts...etc and get an idea of racer interest. It may be good to let Jeff know that the Mid-Atlantic Mopars meet at Mason Dixon is on that same weekend and has been for nearly 30 years. I don't know if his show is always the same time or not. It was generally thought to be best to gather all this information and try and get Columbus back on the schedule for 2015 if there is enough interest. There were a couple of the racers that said that they would like to return to Columbus sometime. I will post the tentative schedule in a new post. Rick |

is there any way to have a slant race during the mopar nats atnColumbus.? it there sure is a lot of time between th June 19th/26th races and Bristol ..... Greg |

Greg its my understanding that we are supposed to have two races to replace Knoxville in mid July in Crossville Tn. as soon as the track owner can be contacted giving us an event each month. I think Alanna and Rodney are working on it. Ron |

Charlie, I'm not really sure that anyone said what was going on there. Bruner's and Hargis' suggested I 40 and said it was close by and a nice facility that would like to have us. Rick |

Fair enough..It's always a cluster there for the nats anyway. Good place to Buy parts and cars.. Crappy for showin or anything else in my opinion. Greg |
