Race results: Friday night we had 5 cars show up. Rodney, Ron Hamby, Meril, Gary, and myself. I broke during Test and Tune, and could not make the call for the slant race. The pairings were: Rodney vs. Gary, and Ron vs. Meril Gary broke out giving the win to Rodney. Meril lit the red bulb against Ron. That left Rodney and Ron to battle it out in the final. Rodney just barely broke out against Ron in a close race. |

Saturday race results: We gained 3 more cars, and I was able to fix my car to give us an 8 car field. Sam Daugherty, Lukas Bruner, and Larry Chesney joined us to race. After the first time trial run, Ron was having issues and thought he might have burned a hole in a piston. My bad luck must have somehow transferred over to his car. Since he did make an official time run, he was on the ladder. First round pairings: Gary vs. Larry, Rodney vs. Lukus, Meril vs. Sam, and Ron vs. myself. I received a break pass. Both Gary and Larry lit the red bulbs, but Larry did it first, giving Gary the win. Rodney and Lukus had a close race, but Rodney edged him at the line for the win. Sam's car wasn't running right, but he raced anyway and broke out by over a full second. Meril dialed a 14.70, and ran a 14.700! Second round: Rodney vs. Gary, and Meril vs. myself. Gary broke out trying to stay in front of Rodney, and Meril lit the red bulb against me. Final: Rodney wins easily as I broke out by a full tenth. Congrats to the winners (and losers)!! A big thank you to the Hambys and Bruners for feeding the racers!! Lots of good food and fellowship on both days! Brian |

Really missed getting to see ya'll this weekend. Sorry that I forgot to send the hot dogs and all the trimmings with Rodney. They were (and still are) in the fridge packed up ready to go. Sounds like ya'll had an awesome time, hate that I couldn't be there. Can't wait to get together with everyone at Clay City |

Thanks for the update Brian. I will get the Championship thread updated shortly. Angie finally gets here in the morning! She's on a plane somewhere over the Atlantic right now.  I forgot to run my back up CD with the latest points before I left the office last week, otherwise I would update the points tonight.
